We are a small business located in Perth Western Australia, with the goal of bringing your furry friend the most adorable and comfortable clothing apparel and accessories.
The thought behind Lapdog Clothing Co had been brewing for over 2 years, however after a significant life change in 2023, we were committed to starting something special in the new year.

The beginnings of Lapdog Clothing Co
Its a well known fact that dogs are not just pets; they are family.
When you think about it, our dogs are with us through most major moments of our lives. Through good and bad times, life events, birthdays and every Christmas, our loyal best friends are always there.
This sentiment became the driving force behind starting a dog apparel clothing brand, Lapdog Clothing Co.
In this post I want to share the story of why I embarked on this adventure and how I hope to grow the brand alongside my best friend.
Introducing Bubba, my inspiration
Bubba Pugs, also known as; Pugly, Bubba, Bubberly and Naughty Boy; he right here was the spark of inspiration for starting Lapdog Clothing Co.
Bubba is a 10 year old Maltese x Shitzu who loves his walks and is obsessed with the dog park. He has an anxious attachment style with me (his owner) and funnily enough we both share the same birthday.
Bubba behaves for me, but when I'm not present loves to dig holes and bury food. He enjoys chewing pigs ears and loves his new jackets and collars. His one pet peeve is bath time.
During 2023 I experienced a significant life change, moved house and found myself living solo in Perth, Western Australia for the first time. I was balancing a full time job and adjusting to city life, when I found myself constantly wondering how Bubba was doing at home on his own, without me.
After some goal planning and brainstorming, I decided I didn't want to put Bubba second anymore, he was going to be my priority. I wanted to start a small business dedicated to Bubba and the things he loves, being in fashionable new clothes and showing off down at the dog park to his dog friends.
My overall goal was to spend more time with Bubba and create something that he loves.
Launching Lapdog Clothing Co
After months of planning, designing and testing, Bubba and I proudly launched Lapdog Clothing Co together. Starting Lapdog Clothing Co is my commitment to Bubba and ensuring we can spend quality time together.
Our journey is just one of many, and we hope it inspires others to embark on their path to committing more time to things that truly matter to them.
Bubba and I hope you can see the love and time we have put into each design, and that your best friend loves running around in the clothing and accessories just as much as Bubba does with his friends.
